The Praxis Principle

My name is Jordan. I grew up in a broken, divorced home, dealt with severe anxiety and self-doubt, and coped with vices, all while being a baptised Christian. But God proved to be more than any of those things could handle.

After trying five colleges, I finally received a Bachelor's from Texas Tech, then a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary. Knowledge is good, but alone it feeds consumeristic Christianity.

Your past and your talent do not get you a pass with God—only the death and resurrection of Christ.

I work for a Christian non-profit, am an entrepreneur, a husband, and a father. We are grateful to serve free of cost.

I work with individuals and groups to clear a path forward toward the presence of God through foundational faith practices.

a clear pathway out of Christian consumerism and into a faith of action.

You know how it’s easy for Christians to attend church sometimes, but their lives look similar to non-believers? Jonathan Edwards says that’s a clue you're not on the right trial… but he says it way better.

The problem starts with a misguided call for pastors and elders. Many of them are primarily event planners or decision-makers (see the post). What’s worse, church members don’t even have access to the so-called elders. Can you contact your elders directly?

Combine this movement with the consumer, self-focused content we consume ad nauseam, and we have Christian consumerism at its peak.

The mission is to give people a starting point. A clear pathway forward into a fulfilling, robust faith that follows this simple pattern. Study - Trust - Obey - Repeat.

God is not too far off. He has revealed himself through his word and throughout creation.

Talk to any aging person. It goes fast. Really fast. The question is, what will you chase after?

An extra bedroom, a new car, and a trip to Cancun? Or the presence of the eternal triune God who has an offer for you, more forgiveness, loving-kindness, and hope than you know to ask for. But do you want Him?

My service is not for sale.

All you need is a willingness to pursue God.

But I only work with two requests at A time.
